booked a room with twin beds and was given a room with a double bed, not the worst we can manage, then the bathroom had ants all in it all over the sink and the vanity, there were no toiletries in the room, the tv had only music channels which it said we had to pay for, half of the plug sockets just didn’t work at all, there was a lamp on the wall with no covering so open live wires which was a danger, in addition the floor in the bathroom was quite literally peeling and the key cards stopped working, staff seemed very judgy and i felt like i was being watched the whole time. the hotel itself wasn’t very clean at all and i will never ever be staying here again, i paid for a 2 day access pass to the wifi and the wifi stopped working for me after a few hours asking me to pay again and the radiator in the room was broken so the room was constantly overheating

Functional enough
Nice room, nice location. It's a bit tiresome that they demand ID - I don't really want to feel like I'm always being watched and spied on. Most hotels don't do it - and I don't normally carry ID with me. Not everyone drives. Also they have stupid signs saying "Admission is at our discretion" or sometihng like that. It's like, "hey idiot. I paid for this hotel and you agreed to it and I need a place to stay" you don't get to just make stupid threats all the time to intimidate people if you want complete discretion over your hotel don't agree to let people stay ahead of time maybe. Just the petit creap of distributed authoritarianism.

There's nothing wrong with the place
It's value for what you pay. The décor is all still 70's brown and the mattress could probably be changed but the rooms are large,, they have a bath and shower and it's bang in the city centre

BATHROOMS A BIT TIRED, THOUGH BEDS AND BEDDING FINE. WEB SITE SAYS PARK AT COX STREET CAR PARK - THIS HAS BEEN CLOSED AROUND 5 YEARS!!I HAD ASKED HOTEL ABOUT THIS CAR PARK VIA 3 METHODS BUT NEVER GOT A REPLY BACK.
