We stayed in room 10 which had a very pretty view of the Cove. A very clean room, a little small, but a great stay. The restaurant was good value with a cozy bright pub like atmosphere with multiple areas all with different moods. Unbeatable location a hu ndred yards from the beach and walking trails.Would definately stay again.

One night stay
I’m glad I paid under £100 for this room. It was decorated well and very pleasant. Sadly the position of the room next to the gents for the pub and restaurant. Next to the residents 24 hour door. The constant people traffic made it a noisy room. Also the windo opens onto the pavement and as it’s a very busy road it meant we couldn’t have the window open. However I a think this is the only ground floor room so if you want quiet and to open the window; definitely avoid. As a pub/hotel it’s a pleasant place to be but I’d choose a different room next time. ( upstairs). We had dinner here with friends and sadly this was a big let down. The food was pretty awful . Took over 1.5 hours to arrive after being reminded we’d not had any food yet then the meals came out at different stages , one person had finished his main course when the starters arrived then the last person still hadn’t had their main. I believe there was probably no chef in the kitchen . I’d expect more from a Hall and Woodhouse. The staff were great but definitely run ragged! I’m hoping H&W will improve their game. As it used to be better than this. Employ more staff, keep a chef in the kitchen. Warm people about the ground floor room! .

Lovely, cosy, relaxed
Room is excellent, well stuffed and preoared, beds are soft, modern and quite large. The building is historic and gives you sense of oldies. Breakfast is decent, with variety of food. The location is great, just 150 meter away from the cove. Great rooms, great hotel, great location

Location is excellent, Rooms are amazing, saying nothing about view to the cove from the sea view room... People are very helpful and supportive, you feel like home. I really had most relaxed time there
