Lovely hotel with friendly staff and a wide choice at breakfast. Room was a suitable size and clean. Due to the weather the room was very hot (despite a fan) so we moved the bed to under the window (which only opened 10inches) for a more comfortable sleep- this showed that hovering under the bed hadn't happened for a while (but then I don't hover under furniture at home either!) Although compact the pool was large enough for the 4 swims we had during our 3 night stay and the gym well equipped. Changing rooms were very mouldy on the ceiling, only enough room for a couple of people and two of the lockers did not return my £1. Perfect location for exploring Chippenham and to travel by bus or train to neighbouring areas such as Bath and Bristol. I look forward to returning soon

Can't wait to return to Angel Hotel

An uncomfortable bed and room.
premium double room with single beds pushed together to make a double. uncomfortable nights sleep. ground floor room, no window restrictors so had to keep windows closed at night, no Air con, so a very hot room kept me awake! Swimming pool with kids lessons all evening, so didn't get a chance to use that facility.

Floor slopes
The floor in the room sloped so much that it was difficult to sleep at the angle not helped as I could only sleep on one side due to my broken arm but you don’t expect the bed to be at such an angle

Chippenham used to be such a lovely market town but now it’s just like many other towns , lots of closed shops , nail bars and run of the mill pubs

Decent hotel spoilt by some poorly trained staff
Large bedrooms with comfy beds. Great location with large car park available at £7.50 a day. Couldn’t recommend the dining options including breakfast which was poor by Best Western standards. Bar staff at the time we were there didn’t seem at all interested in their jobs. The caesar salad had neither parmesan shavings or anchovies as advertised and the fish and chips was more like chips and peas and a single fish finger size piece of thin overcooked fish coated in a massive amount of batter. Wetherspoons around the corner were better and far cheaper for both food and drink.
