This complaint relates to late and incorrect directions to the nearest car park. 1. Before arrival I emailed reception asking for details of the car park that was nearest to the hotel - I did not receive a reply. 2. On the day before I arrived I phoned the hotel to ask the same question and was told I would get an email reply - I did not receive an email reply. 3. I phoned again before I arrived and was told the postcode of Victoria Street car park - I put the postcode into my car's satnav - it listed addresses in Dublin. 4. I 'phoned once more to confirm the postcode - again I entered it into the satnav with the same result. So, may I suggest that management specify the correct car park postcodes and ensure they are displayed on the website? This would reduce queries to reception. In addition reception must be instructed to reply to all emails - especially when they promise to do so.

Absolutely love this hotel! Lovely vibes, clean, comfortable! Great decor.. only thing I object to is the £50 you pay “in case” of extras. No choice. Returned if not needed admittedly but.. there must be a better way. First time in 50 years of travelling. Why not temporarilyhold credit card details like other hotels?

Bar staff were excellent- great cocktails! Room 322 was described as 'Deluxe' - I'm unsure why! It over looks other room so we had to pull the blinds down and put the lights on ( it was 5pm on a sunny day!) A review of 322 from 2011 suggested putting privacy glass in the bathroom and the hotel replied by saying they would look into this. They've clearly decided ignored this suggestion so unless you want the room across the way to have a view of you on the throne or in the shower the blind has to be pulled down in here too! The design of the walk in shower means that the bathroom floor floods and because Liverpool doesn't have a Mediterranean climate it takes hours to dry unlike the shower in your hotel room in Greece! We'd stay in Hope Street again - just not in Room 322.

Have stayed in this hotel before and returned due to previous experience. My only complaint is my experience in the bar. I sat for several minutes waiting on service, a gentleman sat down and as if by magic a member of the waiting staff appeared. Extremely annoying.

Bed was very uncomfortable and there’s not enough sound insulation in the rooms. We felt like we were in student accommodation as you can hear EVERYTHING in the corridor as if the noises are coming from inside of the room. We were at the very end of the corridor so there wasn’t even traffic passing by. The room was also very stuffy and in all honesty I was just waiting for the night to pass thinking how I wish I was in my own bed at home. The rest of the stay was gorgeous. The bar is beautiful, the spa is stunning and the staff are wonderful. I would come again but I would never stay over night.
