Stayed for 4 days 3 nights, lovely surprise to have our room upgraded from Azlanii to Chengal which is nice and spacious. Also lucky to get onto the Discover Belum activity. Loved the boat rides and scenery. We had a lovely guide called ***. The young lady on our next day boat rides wasn't much of a guide apart from if you asked her questions. However apart from the trekking and pool, if you don't fancy fishing or kayaking much; there is little to do which is why a 3 day 2 nights would have sufficed instead of our 4 days 3 nights. Saw the herbal garden, kelah pond, Temenggor House and Banding gallery in an afternoon. Be warned that the nature walk is really a stroll around the resort- not much nature apart from being bitten by insects! And for actually forest walks one will need to take the boat out. Sadly did not see any animals apart from insects, fishes and lizards. And Rafflesia wasn't in season too. Perhaps May was a tad too early even though the info did say it was within the suggested months to visit. Got roasted visiting the Orang Asli village so it was a good thing we had brollies and plastered ourselves with plenty of sunscreen. We decided to give the Night trekking and elephant spotting a miss cos the highest chances were really encountering more insects than animals so it wasn't really worth the cost- plus it rained every night. Food tasted nice however was very limited in variety and tended to run out towards the later morning. (Ie they had limited amounts of some). For dinner, I'd suggest buying takeaway from the resort restaurant to eat in the confines of your room if you don't fancy insects in your food. Overall the room was clean and pretty comfortable to stay in. There is a smart TV for use however you will need to input your own cable subscription if you want to watch movies at night. The staff although nice, do not seem very organised in communicating information between themselves; so when I cancelled a morning trip the night before, the message was not communicated to the person in charge of the activity which was not great. I would return again next time, just for the nature sounds and quietness (which was for an afternoon ruined by some loud motor..), but perhaps for a much shorter trip.. and armed with books, good coffee and Kembara packs (which we had for our Discover Belum lunch) so that I don't have to keep eating the same food over a couple of days.

The resort is very pretty, with many gorgeous plants. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the toiletries of good quality. Food for lunch and dinner at the restaurant is good. Variety is fair. Breakfast is good too with a mix of Asian and western. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and polite. Activities are a little limited but I don't blame the resort as it was rainy during our stay, and it was not the season for rafflesia spotting. We didn't get to spot any hornbills or elephants, but saw many monkeys at play. The round island tour was amazing and thoroughly enjoyable.

Fabulous staff and lovely rooms, esp if you can get an upgrade. Azlani rooms are a long way from anywhere. Main restaurant was closed and the F&B available in Sidai was very poor. But special thanks to chef who preared some special meals for us.

A relax stay, situated within rainforest, the breakfast was great, we followed a expedition tour into the nature and it was so fun and adventurous

So sad that the restaurant and other amenities are permanently closed. Else it will be more lively.
