I recently stayed at the 3-star Burlington hotel in Eastbourne, paying *** for a midweek single room, and overall it offered very good value for money. The hotel’s location is a real highlight. Situated right on the seafront next to the pier, it provides easy access to local buses and is only a short walk from the train station, making it very convenient for getting around. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient, and the reception staff were consistently professional, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. My single room was located on the fourth floor, accessible by lift. It was comfortable and well-equipped, featuring a TV, tea and coffee facilities, and a surprisingly large private bathroom with towels and soap provided. The bed was particularly comfortable, and the sheets were clean, which made for a very restful night. On the downside, the hotel does feel quite dated. The building has the charm of a grand Victorian property, but the interior doesn’t quite live up to that potential. The carpets are worn, the furniture feels inexpensive, and the décor is rather tired and lacking warmth. That said, considering the very affordable price, the peaceful night’s sleep, and the professionalism of the staff, I would still rate this stay 4 out of 5. It’s a solid option if you’re looking for a budget-friendly stay in a great location.

Located virtually opposite the pier the Burlington is a sprawling Victorian hotel. It’s very, very tired both inside and out and there are no facilities to speak of but our top floor room (only one working lift) was clean enough, warm and dry. The bedding was crisp and white, the bath small but clean and there was a wardrobe, desk, tv as well as tea and coffee. The windows aren’t double glazed so there is noise from outside. We had a bite to eat before checking in which was simple and well done - stuff with chips and salad. The staff are helpful and there’s cheap parking round the back. You are 5 minutes walk from the town centre and 2 minutes to the beach. It’s not fancy but it’s ok. For the money I’d say it was very good value.

Building very much in need of renovation, but it was warm, the breakfast was excellent and the staff were lovely. I live locally, and was staying while there were decorators working at home. Wish I'd been here for a holiday in the past - would happily come again.

Always stay here and come back every time but this time the bathroom had all cobwebs and load of spiders in there on ceiling and the water from shower would not go at all not good complained she said there were no maintenance men on duty we then complained again on leaving and she apologised and said the next time we stay they will upgrade us so will see ? But never had a problem before yeah but dated but clean normally .

It was a pleasant overnight stay but desperately needs an overhaul. The outside has rotting wooded frames and looks a real state. It needs a lot of money spent on it but amazingly all the huge chandeliers lights were left on all day which must be costing a fortune! Didn’t eat there but the breakfast looked very nice. However the staff are helpful and friendly.
