The Ferry Boat Inn

Bad Expensive. 125$ for a bad room. Claustrophobia-inducing sized rooms. With 1990s furniture. NO wifi in rooms. When the BBC homepage takes 2 - 4m to load ( or not at all) - that doesn't count as in room wifi. Half the rooms DON'T face the water. I checked in at 230pm and was given a back room. Unclear why I didn't get a room with a view. When I asked if I could I was rudely told "NO!". Like I was bothering her. NOISY. The rooms are above a noisy restaurant. Toilets don't flush properly. Measly toiletries. Cramped shower stall. Rooms are at end of 3 steep narrow flights of stairs. No elevator. If you are a vegan (like me) or don't like the smell of fish all the time - be warned. The rooms are above a busy seafood restaurant/bar. Good Free parking on street nearby Close to Ferry. Glad I was only staying there 1 night.

Very average place. No warm welcome, basic room with average bedding, shower was cold. Would not recommend this place.

Very close to the Stornaway ferry. The staff were very friendly and the meals great. Very steep stairs to rooms unless you stay on the top level which is accessed from the street above where parking is available.
