Machan Villas by Holiday Club

Two nights at Villa Machan in Karandi Khurd, and we came back lighter. The villa we chose to stay in was built for two couples, and the balcony view is the kind where the greenery feels like it's right there with you. Around the property are walking trails that are outstanding, and the massive Yelwandi lake (the Bhatghar backwaters) is just a short hike or walk away. Relatively untouched, peaceful, and a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle. The food surprised me. It's cooked by a Nepali chef, and it's the same food tue owner of the property and his family eat. It has that home-cooked feel and flavour, but the taste and quality is excellent. The housekeeping team was friendly, hardworking and always ready to step up with a smile. And then there's Parmod Bhalla, who runs the place. He's 70 and easily the youngest 70 I've met. A former senior CXO with a large Indian MNC, extremely well read, widely travelled, and full of stories. Over two evenings we went from the region's specialties to history to philosophy. High thinking, simple living, and he lives it. He resides in Pune and drives down very often to the retreat. If you want clean air, water bodies, and a place in the wilderness where you can blend with nature, this is a great pick. To drive to the property the roads are well connected and in a good condition. For the hike paths , it’s motor-able, however advisable to travel in a SUV or even better, if you like some exercise , just leg it up there

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Bhor 4 days ago! 😊 The stay was really comfortable, the place was beautiful and peaceful, and the overall experience was excellent. The hospitality and service were also very good. I truly enjoyed my time here and would happily recommend this hotel to others. Looking forward to visiting again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

stayed for 2 nights/3 days. Pros: excellent hospitality, delicious food preapred by cook. Can request for homely simple food as well. feels like staying in private forest. Walk around the hotel is also amazing. Get a view of the lake Cons: view to the lake is getting inhibited because of outgrown trees
