Lovely friendly accommodating staff. Room spotlessly clean close to all the amenities. The view out of the window was fantastic. Room quite big. We enjoyed our stay we stayed over two nights would definitely revisit if in Saltburn. Also cracking Sunday dinner.

Great stay at The Victoria

False expectations

No food. No seaview. Shower door not closing, soggy beds.Not what is written on the website.

Terrible

I booked a room through Agoda on March 26th 2026 for August 23rd 2026. Unfortunately there was an error and I was booked in for March 26th.I spoke to Agoda and they were understanding but said the Victoria would have to agree to a refund.I contacted the Victoria - no response,nothing,nada. I arrived today after a 12 mile walk from Newton under Roseberry at 13.15.I knew the check in time was 15.00 but I asked if I could check in.I was told the check in is after 15.00.I bought a drink and waited,eventually at about 14.45 I asked if there was any chance I could check in a bit early.The chap said let me see what I can do,looked at his phone and then walked me upstairs to a room.That was it - didn’t even ask my name so I was obviously the only person with a room tonight.Kept me waiting for an hour and a half for absolutely no reason.The room is cheap (although not for me as I’ve paid for it twice) and it shows - furniture from a junk shop,needs decorating,dirty and the TV doesn’t work. A terrible experience with The Victoria.
