Quaint and quirky
Quirky little inn in the centre of the city just across the road from wells cathedral. Bedroom was spotless, we had a four poster bed, nice bedding, comfortable beds. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection. Wednesday is the most expensive night of the week apparently so avoid that if you can. There is a lovely market in the square just outside every Wednesday and Saturday. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend to anyone looking for an authentic quirky British inn experience

Nice location but avoid the room above the bar
Its a great place to stay but avoid the room over the bar as its intrusively noisy all day where the music from the pub below permeates through the old building. It makes it not a great place to spend time relaxing.

Wonderful stay
My husband and I have just stayed at the Crown Hotel in Wells for two nights. We were attending a wedding next door in Wells Town Hall. It has been a wonderful weekend and the staff at the hotel helped to make it so. The staff, service, meals were all first class and we will definitely stay there again. We would recommend the hotel to anyone who is thinking of staying in or around Wells.
