Varel Bay Hotel

My husband and I stayed one night at Varel Bay Hotel under unexpected circumstances, as I had just been discharged from the hospital and needed to rest before traveling home. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with genuine kindness. The lady at reception noticed I was in pain and thoughtfully offered us a ground-floor room without us even asking. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a short stay—especially at such a reasonable price. The next morning, my condition worsened and we needed urgent help getting back to the hospital. When my husband spoke to the gentleman at reception, who we later learned is the owner, he didn’t hesitate—he personally drove us to the hospital in his own car and refused any payment, even a tip. His generosity did not stop there. He kindly allowed us to keep our belongings in the room until my husband could return for them later. We also learned the hotel is under new ownership and currently being improved step by step. If this level of hospitality is any indication, they are on a great path. We are truly grateful for the kindness and humanity we experienced here and would happily recommend this hotel to others.
