During our stay, the view was not very beautiful because of smoke from nearby wildfires. The property uses gas to heat water. The rooms were clean and quiet, and the food was excellent — even the rice itself was delicious, though the menu was a simple à la carte style. The outside temperature was around 22 °C, but inside the rooms it was not quite cool enough for comfort, as they were equipped only with fans and lacked air-conditioning. We visited there in the summer, on April 17–18, 2026.

Great place to stay
There are now quite a few similar places to stay around Phu Chee Fah. Chillchillcamp was cleaner and more modern - everything worked well. Great owner who organised Moo Gata dinner for us. Excellent place to sit and watch the amazing views. I would definitely like to return

Breakfast is as cold.
This is a novel place to stay, but that’s about all it’s got going for it. We were served a cold cooked breakfast. And I don’t mean luke warm, it was stoned cold! Additionally, if you’re riding a bike up here make sure you fuel up before you leave the main roads, as there’s no fuel available in town.

Breathtaking scenery in this unique stay
What a unique experience to stay in the dome accommodation at ChillChill Camp. To wake up to the spectacular view was a real treat. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lacking but it did the job. Nice to have an option since this is an isolated mountainous area. Other camps are nearby so you can walk to another eatery if you’d like. You need your own transportation.
