Hotel The Happy Traveler

This hotel is funky, great location, clean, staff are nice, the bed and room were great and the breakfast looked good. All the ingredients for a good stay. But the room I was in had the rooftop bar upstairs and a bar directly under the windows with music and loud chatting until well after midnight. If you plan to sleep after that that's fine. If you want an earlier night or a good night's sleep, probably not the hotel for you. I think the hotel suits younger travellers who are looking to experience the night life, and Groningen is definitely the place for it. Also, bike rental is 15 p/d, even though it was advertised as 10. That annoyed me a little.

This is my second stay at the The Happy Traveler, it is so convenient for visiting my daughter at Uni, near the centre and also a short walk from the train station. The hotel is quirky yet has all the comforts and cleanliness you would expect. Staff are friendly and understand and speak perfect English.

최악의 숙소입니다. 청소 사절 표지를 무시하고 무단 침입해 개인 짐을 쓰레기봉투에 담아버렸습니다. ​"여행 중 겪은 가장 황당하고 불쾌한 경험이었습니다. 외출 시 '청소 사절(Do Not Disturb)' 표지를 명확하게 부착해 두었음에도 불구하고, 호텔 측이 허락 없이 객실에 무단으로 침입하여 소중한 개인 짐들을 쓰레기봉투에 마구잡이로 담아놓았습니다. ​당연히 항의했으나, 사장은 '청소를 하기 위해서였다'는 어이없는 변명만 늘어놓으며 일절 사과를 거부했습니다. 투숙객의 사생활을 존중하지 않고 개인 재산을 쓰레기 취급하는 이런 곳은 호텔로서 기본 자격이 없습니다. 절대 이용하지 마세요. 증거 사진과 영상 모두 확보하고 있습니다." 사진업로드가 안되네요~
