Australian Hotel Motel Yass

We only paid *** for a newly renovated and enlarged upstairs unit including large sleep area and almost as large bathroom & wc. Very comfortable and the 0°C minimum certainly had the reverse cycle airconditioning working. The Australian offers a variety of (suspected) older ground floor rooms and somewhere +30 upstairs rooms though we cannot say if they all measure to our plush surrounds. There's ample off & on street car parking though the off can be puddlesome. Only met the single bar staffer who provided efficient and friendly service welcome.

Love this hotel. Recently renovated rooms are simple, stylish and comfortable. Parking out back. Friendly, helpful staff. Great value for money!

I stayed in the hotel section and must assume the motel section is better in terms of facilities. For seventy odd buck you get an ok bed, a pedestal fan and not much else. On a warm night you'll enjoy the health benefits of an all night sauna. The insects waiting to rush in preclude opening the window although there is a piece of wood with which the window could be kept open. The shared toilets and showers are unisex which may not sit well with some. On the bright side the beer in the bar is cold and the food is good. Sadly your sleep quality won't match it. Tip: pay the extra for a motel.

Passing thru from Vic to Queensland, great sized room, wasn't looking for anything special. Definitely worth the price.
