As you see the place inside and out are beautiful with laced canopy with four poster bed in suburban Newcastle. Gentleman host and good facility. If you need breakfast walk to next door is an restaurant. Lovely for little break, for anyone enjoys old fashioned French decorative furniture, modern bathroom, TV and tea making facility in beautiful quiet suburb. You must ask taxi if you use one to see the green sign and the electric gate will automatically open on entry. On foot, use intercom to get passcord. Little further away from the weekend activity though worth a stay.

This place is just a room with no breakfast, however there is plenty of nice cafes near by that you can get breakfast from. The owner seemed really nice, the room was clean and had everything you needed (separate shower/toilet down the corridor). Overall, for the price, this was great.

Travelling by motorbike the secluded parking was reassuring. This hotel offered a very competitive price for my 3 night stay. The room was well appointed with a large bathroom. The grounds and gardens are lovely. The entrance hall and bedrooms are rather splendid with their quirky and opulent style. The host, David was friendly and helpful. During my stay I took advantage (on David's recommendation) of the excellent bar and restaurant, Michel Angelo which is just a few paces away. Definitely recommended Hedgefield House.

An impeccable historic house ran by a dedicated family who have collected lots of quirky ornaments over the years. Built in 1877 and removated to a extremely high standard with beautiful grounds. Oldy wordly room furniture. It was more like a bedsit. Very comfortable. Slept really well on a massive bed. Bus stop outside every 15 minutes and about 15 minutes into Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Nearest shop and bar grill about a mile away so nothing really in the area within walking distance so no where to get breakfast close by so i stocked up at the co-op about a mile away and made myself a little continental breakfast. Apart from that it would be great to go back when next working in the area.

In needing a hotel for several local events I plumped for Hedgefield House Hotel. Very quiet and peaceful with the extremely polite host ready to greet you. Tea/Coffee in rooms with a Kettle. Comfortable rooms, Working Wi-Fi. Close to Bus Stops 10/10a/10b Newcastle to Hexham Route (Go North East) MetroCentre is the Nearest Station (Northern Trains) If you want to visit Newcastle stay here simply.
