We were pleasantly surprised by this basic but fully equipped stop over. Room was on the small side. Bathroom clean and comfortable size. Communal kitchen was a nice addition. Free drink and pastry at breakfast was just the thing. Staff very friendly and happy. Only problems were the parking although we were able to park nearby and extra pillows would have been good. Would stay here again. Thank you. 🌻🌻

I visited this hotel to travel around Sheffield. It is located in Endcliff, which is outskirts of Sheffield. Astonishing service and security.

An excellent budget Hotel. On a University Hall of Residence campus (and indeed it is an ex-Hall), it offers all the facilities you'd expect. Although no tea or coffee in the room, every floor has a kitchen with kettles, microwaves and fridges, so you can always make a drink, or cook food. The bed was very comfortable (for a 5'9" guy like me - a bit short for a 6'4" friend!) and the room clean. The location is a litle out of the Town CEntre, but very convenient if you need to be on the east side of Sheffield.

The stay at Jonas Hotel was great value for the room rate paid (with free pastry and coffee/tea as breakfast). The room has good hygienic condition. Although it's not super spacious, it's more than enough for one person. Compared with many other hotels that I stayed, I truthfully regard the quality good as I care more about the practical needs. The staff are friendly and stay at Jonas Hotel has some unique things: use of the communal kitchen and activity rooms (with table tennis and board games); nice interior design displaying Sheffield characteristics. One thing is worth noting for those people who are less outgoing and want absolute quietness - things like the fridge, microwave oven and electric kettle are shared at the kitchen; when a big group of students stay next door; they might produce quite some noise (singing, having fun); it just needed to ask the hotel staff to speak to them and the problem would be resolved. Halifax Hall Hotel (next to Janas) would be a better choice if not accepting these things. Jonas is not conveniently located, walking to nearby shops would take 15 minutes (50 minutes to Sheffield train station). The location is however very good for enjoying green places (including Botanical Gardens).

I spent 4 nights at Jonas Hotel, the value for money was exceptional, location is a little distance from the city centre but close to the University which is what I required. I did not realise, but a coffee and pastry was included in the price - a nice surprise. The room was a little warm, but it was comfortable and clean, relatively quiet too!
