Hotel Vivek Ratnagiri

We booked an AC deluxe room. The AC wasn’t working. The staff came in and checked and couldn’t get it working. It was a non AC room but they charged us for AC room.

It was nice experience. Safe and clean

हे हॉटेल रस्त्याला लागून आहे, पेट्रोलपंप अगदी बाजूलाच आहे हाच प्लस पॉईंट.. बाकी हॉटेल च्या डीलक्स रूम मध्ये अट्रॅक्टिव्ह असे काहीही नाही, रूम फर्निचर मध्ये रंग संगती नाही, चहा कॉफ़ी कीटल नव्हती, डेंटल किती नव्हते, नॉर्मल शेव्हिंग रेझर नव्हते, जुन्या टाईप चा बॉक्स टीव्ही ठेवलेला होता... जेवण ठीक होते, स्टाफ छान आहे, रूम इंटीरिअर मध्ये बरेच बदल करण्याची गरज आहे....

Hotel Vivek – Good Location, But Needs Major Improvements I recently stayed at Hotel Vivek in Ratnagiri. The hotel’s location is excellent, situated in a prime area with easy access to transportation, making it very convenient for travelers. However, despite this advantage, my experience at the hotel was far from satisfactory, with several areas needing significant improvement. At check-in, I expected the staff to provide all the necessary information about the hotel’s facilities and services, as advertised. Unfortunately, I was not given complete details, which caused confusion and inconvenience during my stay. I had booked a deluxe AC room, but the room size was much smaller than expected considering the price. The air conditioning barely worked; the battery was completely drained and was not replaced with a new one, resulting in discomfort throughout my stay. The television in the room was another major issue. Although it was present, most channels didn’t work, and there was no remote control provided to operate it. Despite reporting the problem, no action was taken to fix it during my stay. The bathroom was also very small and lacked basic amenities such as a tissue roll. For a hotel charging premium rates, this neglect of essentials was disappointing. The staff at both the reception and breakfast areas were not very helpful. Their responses lacked clarity and professionalism, and at times they appeared indifferent or even arrogant. Courteous and supportive service is essential in hospitality, and this hotel clearly needs to train its staff to better assist guests. Additionally, the check-out process was frustrating. Even though my booking allowed check-out until 11:30 AM, the staff started insisting from 9 AM that I check out immediately. This constant pressure added unnecessary stress and made the experience even less comfortable. Although the location is ideal for transportation, everything else fell short of expectations. Cleanliness was acceptable, but it could not make up for the poor facilities and unprofessional service. In conclusion, while Hotel Vivek offers a convenient location, it requires substantial improvements in communication, room size, bathroom facilities, staff behavior, and respect for guest check-out times. Based on my experience, I would rate this hotel 2.5 out of 5 stars.

Conveniently located near BP Petrol Pump on main road leading to city center, it is a decent place for short stay. Room size was smaller than expected. My room window opened to a wall of adjoining building so best to keep it closed. Ample spaces for restaurant dining with attentive staff. When checking out, advice caution to recheck billing as one reception staff tried to ask for room rent again that was already paid in advance. He was reluctant to accept that he had erred.
