The rooms were pretty standard but the employees are lovely (can’t do more for you), the venue was brilliant for a wedding & the food/breakfast was great. Bar is expensive but would highly recommend it for any weddings.

We had a wonderful one night stay here the staff couldn’t be more helpful and polite from checking in the receptionist seemed genuinely chirpy and very pleasant. We were told our original room was located near the function room where an event was being held that night and may possibly get noisy with this in mind they then have us three options before checking in to upgrade at no extra cost, keep our original room or downgrade and not be charged for our dog which I thought was very considerate and most places would’ve not even mentioned it! The room was very clean and had all the usual facilities you’d expect in a hotel and nice and spacious, comfortable, warm and a nice hot shower. We do like our cups of tea so went and asked for some extra milk and teabags which the night staff were more than happy to supply. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful as we had a large dog we were seated in a separate area to eat but our waitress couldn’t have been more accommodating and present she promptly waited on us took our order and brought out our food and drinks and even brought a bowl of water and a couple of sausages for one very grateful dog! The breakfast was delicious and bigger than expected with the option to accompany it with any of the other items included in the continental breakfast which was all the usual items you’d expect and very good value for money as we booked this with our stay rather than purchasing on the morning. I liked the late checkout at 11am which meant we didn’t have to rush and the grounds were very beautiful and calm for a nice evening and morning walk!

Felt a complete lack of anyone knowing what they were doing. Very nice and very helpful staff just a bit untrained and unsupported and inefficient- not their fault . Eg. Wine ordered pre dinner arrived after main course arrived. All a bit unslick and dated.

Excellent experience - staff could not have done any more to improve our stay.

Bathroom seat stained orange with urine. It had been cleaned but stained from years of use. Waiting times for food took far too long. Both at lunch and breakfast.
