I had a pleasant stay at Westlake Hotels in Amsterdam, especially considering the peak tulip season when accommodation prices are usually quite high. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its excellent value for money—it offers a much more affordable option compared to many other hotels in the city without compromising on comfort. The location is another strong point. The hotel is well connected to Amsterdam Central, with the tram number 17 providing easy and convenient access. Additionally, the nearby tram station is within walking distance, making it even more practical for getting around the city and beyond, available between 7 am to 11 pm. The staff were consistently helpful and courteous throughout my stay, always ready to assist with any queries or requests, which made the experience smoother and more enjoyable. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and decent in size, offering all the basic amenities needed for a short stay. While it may not be luxurious, it is definitely sufficient and well-maintained for the price point. Overall, Westlake Hotels is a great choice for travelers looking for an affordable, well-connected, and comfortable stay in Amsterdam.

I was a bit worried based in the reviews I’ve read after booking non refundable room, but I’m glad my worries are for nothing! The commute to center is about 30-45mins but its alright since I could enjoy the picturesque view of Amsterdam and its outskirts, not to mention the huge lake nearby which is a nice place to chill. The rooms were huge, toilet was clean, room may feel lacking from basic amenities but considering the amount I paid for it, they can skip all these amenities! Staff and the reception was polite, I made a few requests and was resolved quickly. Walk to tram was about 10mins? But you could also catch a bus like 2-3mins from hotel for few stops and change to tram. There are supermarkets and shops and foods nearby so nothing is lacking. Direct train to Amsterdam Central, perfect for Eurostar riders like me. I don’t know why there was so much “negative” reviews, you cant really expect 5 star hotel stay and only pay “hostel” prices in Amsterdam. I’m glad to have stayed here for 5nights without any issues. I don’t mind sacrificing the longer commute for a large room than hostel options in the city

We had a great stay at Westlake Hotel. Stayed for 3 nights with my husband, 13 year old and 10 year old. We hired bikes as it's a 30 minute cycle to central Amsterdam or an hour's tram ride. We saw so much of the city on our bikes. Only one disappointment for us Brits was no kettle on the room so we had to go down to reception for hot water for our morning breakfast tea so I would bring a travel kettle next time.

Easy access to the tram to take you to the City center (only 15 min) walk. Lots of parking space (paid for the whole day for less the 10 euros. You can purchase GVB pass at the reception desk. We arrived at noon, front desk allowed us to store our luggage's while we started exploring the city. Rooms are big and clean, very safe (key card for all entries). Nearby shopping and restaurants. Enjoyed our 3 days stay.

It's a bit outside the city centre but surrounded by a ton of greenery. You can't walk five minutes without coming a cross a play structure which is great if you have any children. It's in a neighbourhood so expect to see people going about their day. Grocery stores, pharmacies and food places are all within walking distance. By far though, it's the staff who made this stay a pleasure for us. They were always prompt and responsive throughout our stay.
