The hotel is self is set in beautiful surroundings with a great view of the lake and steps leading down. The bar isn't cheap. A pint of coke is £4 plus, red bull around £4 plus also. Breakfast was OK. Toast, pancakes, croissants, small Danish pastries. There was a selection of cereal, juices hot drinks. There is no cooked breakfast. This has to be ordered separately and paid for. The staff are very polite but you can Not check in before 4pm and have to wait in the lounge / bar area. So don't arrive early. The free WiFi doesnt reach ever room.. Over an OK stay. View and staff amazing

Lovely location, £7 in a taxi to the main area of Windermere. Spa lovely and bar area also very well presented. Staff welcoming and helpful. Added rose petals on the bed for my wife for the extra special touch. Room lovely and view was amazing, however the exterior patio was dated with mouldy flooring which was a gritted roof for the floor and the wood fence had rotted and was faking apart. Other than that bed was comfy and extra large, as was the tv. Breakfast was perfect also and what a view. Currently undergoing an upgrade to spa area outside so this was closed unfortunately which we didn’t know until it was booked.

I had difficulty coping with all the steps and stairs as there is no lift. To get to the lovely pool and spa, I needed to walk down 3 flights of stairs. I went for early morning swim at 8.30am but pool doesn’t open until 9am! My room was 1 flight down from Reception and even had 2 stairs inside! The decor and carpets had seen better days. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and helpful. The view of the lake was beautiful too.

This was in a lovely location overlooking lake Windermere however for £210 per night it’s completely overpriced. The rooms are basic, the TV was very small not even a 32 inch but I think the insult is that it’s an additional £13.95 for cooked breakfast each & £20 each to use the spa facilities. In all fairness the continental breakfast was sufficient but it just feels cheap & penny pinching on the hotels behalf. This isn’t highlighted on the booking. Another thing check in isn’t until 4. Apart from this the staff do a great job, very polite, room was spotless just a shame the management are all about making extra money which for this reason I wouldn’t stay again a spa is supposed to make you feel renewed not like you are being drained by the add ons that should be standard. Change your business model!

The jacuzzi and pool are very lovely. But it's £20 pp per day not for duration of stay which is ridiculous. The ratten seating on balcony - rotten. Carpets inside room and couch filthy. Double bed is two singles pushed together. And the breakfast is just awful. Bread hard. No pastries minimal cereal but not fresh it's just very bog standard like a 2* they need to upgrade there continental breakfast to the rating of the hotel!
