Despite being located in the area ideally for those attending the LMRA, we used St Georges Lodge because it was close to the golf courses that we wanted to play and could accommodate three guys in single beds. With the look and feel of a 1950s American motel, it is quaint but perfect if not needing the extravagancies of todays living. The beds were comfortable, the room has a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The only thing that was a bit strange was that the ceiling fan only worked if the lights were on so over a hot weekend, it was not possible to get some relief without lighting up the room. Entry is by old-skool key which is kept in a combination secured lock box outside the room and the combination is emailled before arrival. We were impressed with the very clean and decorated bathroom. A nice rainfall type shower-head with good water pressure was much needed after a day in the sun. One minor issue is that the advertised wifi is painfully slow but my phone picked up a good 4g signal so didnt really need it. Would stay at St Georges Lodge again if in the area.
