크루 홀 호텔 & 스파

Arrived at the hotel at 2.15pm so we were aware that we were 45mins before the official check-in time but we were surprised to be told we would have to pay £10 if we wanted to check-in early. Then the receptionist tried to sell us various room upgrades. We asked if we could use the pool whilst we waited but again not until 3.00pm. We went for a coffee and had to approach a member of staff to get any service. We were informed that all the hotel information could be obtained by scanning the QR code in the bedroom. Unfortunately there was nothing in the room to enable us to do this. We could not contact reception as the telephone didn't have any information attached to it. We found out breakfast times by visiting the resturant. On a positive note the breakfast was very good. On the first night there was a dog in the next room which kept yapping. On check out my wife was surprised that she was not asked about our stay. We wouldn't bother to stay again.

A really lovely old hotel - with spa and modern wing. Comfortable for an overnight stay and full of character. Breakfast was alright - but coffee machines kept breaking - could do with an old school breakfast approach when that happens eg use pots!

Rooms large ,clean, quiet and comfortable. Service very efficient and friendly. Location good: close, but not too close to M6 so good place to break a long journy. Dinner menue unimaginative, but ok for a short stay. Very good value for facilities offered including gym and spa. Nice to see this grand old house saved and earning its keep.

Beautiful setting with friendly staff but breakfast was a real disappointment, what was on offer was similar to a Holiday Inn/Premier which is fine but when you stay at a place like Crewe Hotel you expect to be a little spoilt - being told to get our own cups from another table and searching each empty table for a salt pot that was filled and empty breakfast ingredients is not the service you expect from this beautiful place. Our room and the beautiful setting made up for the disappointing breakfast hence the 4 star rating.

Lovely hotel, 2nd visit, beautiful grounds & lots of photo opportunities. We stayed in the new wing and were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. Helpful staff, only one point I would have preferred fresh cocktails prepared at the bar instead of pre-packaged bottles. Overall a good trip & very convenient if stopping overnight in Crewe
