If you like rustic accomodation, thats a bit out of town then the Schwizerhaus is definitely worth trying. Simple rooms and recently refurbed bathrooms make the stay comfortable. Its a quiet location on the edge of the Kreuzbergl overlooking Klagenfurt with surrounding woodland. A simple buffet style breakfast and friendly attentive staff. This guest house has plently of character and charm in contrast to the clinical approach of chain hotels. Try the restaurant especially for local cuisine and generous portions. Very happy with our stay, the staff and value for money. Takes about a 15 minute walk to the centre of Klagenfurt. Mark Watkins
