The host is a really nice guy. A very congenial host and happy to help. His wife does the cooking and the meals were to a very high standard. Perhaps the only criticism is that there wasn't any real choice for our vegetarian friend. Though they readily agreed to allow our visiting son to breakfast with us the following morning. The room was comfortable with plenty of tea, milk & coffee available. The bed was pretty comfortable and the bedding fresh and clean with plenty of towels for the shower. The shower was very good with plenty of hot water. However, the shower was in the bath which became very slippery when wet. The sanitary ware was clean, but it is beginning to show its age as does some of the paint work and that does detract a little from the quality of the room. Otherwise we had a very peaceful nights sleep and the breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Ample parking and a nice pub. Evening menu was tasty, the breakfast was continental and very basic. Room was spacious, clean and nice bathroom. Mattress not the most comfortable.

Very poor breakfast - just cereal, toast, crumpets or croissants, and coffee. Huge difficulty turning shower on and off. Not good having to cross yard to go for food, especially if raining. Only staff seen were extremely nice manager and chef.

Great location,lovely room in a seperate building to the pub,lovely pub.

Comfy bed, nice pub, friendly staff, breakfast OK (options a bit limited but this may have been because the owners were on holiday), but room basic and bathroom very tired.
