The coach house is such a well placed, comfortable place to stay. Beautiful courtyard at the rear, lovingly tended garden at the front, comfortable rooms, great breakfast and lovely, friendly hosts. Really enjoyed our stay

Best place to stay in Melbourne
The Coach House is a superb place to stay in Melbourne and comes highly recommended by myself, a solo traveller. It is exceptionally well run by Beverley who is the most wonderful & welcoming proprietress. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the village, with a Sainsbury's a few doors down. There is room for off road parking at the side of the property. The breakfast was ample, delicious and cooked to perfection by Beverley. The room was most comfortable, beautifully decorated and well appointed with some quality biscuits and drink treats along with lovely toiletries with which to indulge oneself. Warm, tastefully lit, and spotlessly clean, I would highly recommend The Coach House for the quality of the accommodation, the warm welcome, the location and the historic charm of the building. There is a good local pub, The Alma, again a very short walking distance away. I had the stilton and steak pie at the Spirit Vaults, a 7 minute walk down the road, next to the Church, with a selection of their local beers. Along the road there is a Dress Agency, a very nice ladies clothes shop called Eighty Seven, a quality bag shop opposite, and of course the auctioneers, Irita Marriott. The Coach house itself represents very good value for money and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Melbourne.
