Make the sink plunger operational - impossible to have a wet shave. No draws in which to put clothes - the bedside tables could have been adapted, or the side table with the kettle as a bureau. Looked nice, and probably locally supplied from furniture art we saw, but again looks over functionality sadly. The Manageress was brilliant, but they welcomed a youngster with insufficient training in the restaurant. It was a busy bank Holiday weekend, so entirely understandable and great to encourage a younger hospitality industry employee! Artwork was exceptional as was the wonky flooring in the 1465 building. Loved our stay, great selection of comfortable lounge areas. :)

Warm welcome, comfortable bed, powerful shower, good breakfast. The pub is located in a popular village with nice walks in the vale, along the river. Most rooms face onto the street which was busy with traffic & people in the evening & early morning but it was quiet overnight.

A really great hotel with excellent facilities and staff. No real complaints apart from difficult stairs with dodgy knees, however the friendly staff were on hand to take luggage up to the room. Will definitely return if we are in the area.

First time staying at the Marlborough but will definitely be back. As we were attending a funeral, for which the wake was to be held at this venue, I was delighted to find a room available for two nights. Our welcome on arrival set the scene for the stay.....warm, comfortable and very friendly. With a log fire smoking in the grate we immediately felt at home. Our room was excellent, warm and the bed very comfortable Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, the food was delicious and beautifully served. And the food provided for the wake the following day was outstanding. I would certainly recommend this quaint hotel. Everything was spotlessly clean. Clearly a popular hotel, as it was packed with Sunday diners. Delightful stay, and great value having booked through Agoda!
