Secluded natural retreat
sort. The location was perfect, very secluded, offering beautiful views of the river. The staff were amazing, very friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcomed throughout our stay. They are also very knowledgeable about tourism in the area, since they have helped develop much of it, and the information about it. The facilities were well-maintained and met our needs. I would highly recommend this property to other families looking to get away from the city. Our last morning we went on the kayak tour, they suggested, and hope to do it again in the future. It was wonderful! Don’t miss the giant rock to jump off of, but always check the depth with your paddle first!

Such a good stay
Totally feel in the jungle here its amazing. Stunning view for breakfast. Walking to the toilets from your room reminded me of camping as a child, it was so fun. There were lots of ants on the toilets but nothing you can do about nature!

Beautiful villages and rice fields around the area. The twin cabin was really nice and the jungle is gorgeous to walk through. Only down side is the bathrooms are quite far away and the wood gets a bit slippery. The provide umbrellas in the room and they should have slippers available to for walking to the bathrooms

Great Location, Staff friendly but not our highlight
Great location beside the river, we booked a garden view instead of the river view, we were able to swap but for 1,000,000 kip ouch! If you are a coffee drinker you will be very let down, ours tasted like instant coffee with foamed milk to look like a cappuccino, we made the same free nescafe in our room. Laos is a country rich with great coffee farms just not at spring river. Only other issue is the free wifi. Must be dial up! Couldnt even complete my TDAC for entry to thailand as it just kept crashing, if you are a social media person get ready for the old buffering. We left without breakfast and headed to the Phamarnview Cafe were the coffee is amazing and food prices nearly half of spring river. I dont wish to be the person leaving such a review but if we do the Thakhek Loop again we would give spring river a miss and base ourselves at Phamarnview Guesthouse and ride to the Kong Lor cave and back.
