Libong Beach Resort

The resort is in an incredible location on a peaceful beautiful beach flanked by palm trees on this gorgeous, quiet island. The on site restaurant serves tasty food (for the inclusive breakfast, you can choose anything off the menu) and there are other places to eat a short walk away. The staff are friendly, the manager responded positively to all our requests and arranged our onward journey back to the mainland. We originally booked a beach front bungalow but it didn't really work for us. It was quite tired and grubby and the wood/rattan walls made it quite dark. Moreover, the mattess was way too hard and the shower did not work so we could only have cold showers. So after two nights we paid to upgrade to one of the family bungalows on the beach. What a difference! It was so much larger and brighter, with lots of natural light. Great shower and AC and clean bedding & towels. Staff also put up mosquito nets over both beds for us. For the extra they charge, this is much better value for money. We loved it! Maybe not the cleanest but we definitely made the right choice upgrading, really enjoyed the rest of our stay and would love to return.

Quiet & peaceful beach with well-maintained grounds. Reasonable restaurant. Some maintenance issues with bungalows but overall good experience!

Basic but comfortable beach huts with balconies, most looking straight out over the water. The family beachfront bungalows have two large beds. The staff are friendly and the resort grounds are well maintained. Very good value, both for bungalows and restaurant. Very lovely and quiet beach with a steady breeze most of the time (in March). The resort can arrange trips to the stunning twin islands of Koh Lao Liang, as well as longtail transfers to other Trang islands like Koh Kradan & Koh Muk.

This was a really affordable stay, directly on the beach. We stayed in a standard bungalow which is the smaller and cheaper option. The bungalow itself was fine, it wasn’t glamorous, but it was fine. If you can’t handle bugs or creepy crawlies this probably isn’t the place for you, due to gaps in the wooden slats of the bungalow floor, we had a few cockroaches, ants, spiders and mosquitoes in our room with us (though mosquito nets are provided). Each room gets a complimentary 1l of water a day which is really handy, the restaurant on site does good food for dinner too. As some of the other reviews have said, the breakfast selection isn’t great but there’ll likely be something everyone likes and they’re happy to make more of it for. The only think I really liked was the pancakes and when they ran out they made more for me. There are a couple more restaurants a couple of minutes out of the resort as well as small, local mini marts. The staff are friendly and helpful. Not many were able to speak English but it was nothing we couldn’t communicate through Google translate.

Nice bungalows, we had one beach front. Owner and staff nice, helpful and friendly, you can rent a motorcycle from them. A water cooker and small fridge would be good for the price.
