I arrived at the hotel to find no reception staff. The friendly guy from the restaurant kindly helped me as best he could - he didn't speak English and I cannot speak German. Having used the self check in facility it denied me entrance. The restaurant guy gave me a business card, but the number on it was no longer in use. Fortunately he used his own phone to contact someone who eventually gave me an access code. It appears the problem was that they had emailed me an access code already, but as it was an email instead of a text, I hadn't seen it, the second code was sent by txt tho. The room was clean but had cramped headroom due to the sloping roof. The cable for the bedside light had an unsafe repair made to it using electrical tape (the cable carried 230V). WiFi signal was very weak, and I had to sit by the door to get any useable signal. However, even when connected, the connection speed was terrible, reminiscent of 1990's dial up connections. In the end I just gave up trying to use it. The bathroom had lovely fittings apart from the shower, which had a curtain round it, and some weird plastic rails that had been attached (badly) to the floor with silicone. Using the shower was dreadful, as the curtain kept sticking to me. When I stepped out of the shower I found the entire bathroom floor awash with a huge puddle in front of the toilet, some of the water had headed out through the door and wetted the carpet. I had to use all available towels to soak the mess up. While it was clear the plastic rails on the floor were an attempt to solve the problem, it was clearly a bodged fix, like the cable repair. Glad I was only staying one night. Last but not least, the Hotel does not have its own car park (I searched for Hotels with Car Parks), there are car parks nearby, but they were all full, and I had to search for a place to park on the street. At the end of a long day of driving, staying at this hotel is not something I'd like to repeat.

スタッフは英語があまり通じないところもあったが一生懸命コミュニケーションをとってくださり何の問題もなかったです。 とても優しいスタッフで、部屋もきれいで快適に過ごせました。 暑い夜だったので扇風機があったのがとても良かったです！ またザールルイに行ったら泊まりたいです。
