Art Hotel Koln

Our stay at the art hotel was good, our room was large, the beds were good, and we had a quiet and well-lit room at the back of the building. The rooms at the front are probably quite noisy due to the busy street that runs in front of the hotel. What caused a lot of hilarity was the furniture - we called it 'art', but the reality is that everything it is very dated, the lamp at the ceiling rather dim, the floor lamp more glowing than brightening the room (very artful indeed! ; ) ), the table was evidently a repurposed desk with a worn surface, the toilet paper holder had a 'built-in' indicator for the amount of paper left in how crooked it was hanging on the wall (high art! ; ) ), the shower doors needed a little persuasion to close & open... etc. I could extend the list. So while there wasn't really anything obviously broken or not functional, I would have expected better quality considering the price. The place definitely needs a makeover.

The only good thing about this hotel is being next to the airport. Otherwise, rooms are small with very thin walls. You can hear if someone coughed at the next door. Quite hard to find any good night sleep.

Very efficient (not difficult to uself check in) and clean. Near airport too and good value for money

I stayed at the second floor and found the room lovely and comfortable!
