Close to the train station and main bus stop. There are supermarket and shops nearby where you can buy the daily necessities. I stayed in a single room for 2 night which is clean and nice. Breakfast served is good. Staff at the reception especially the lady is nice and helpful.

Hotel Schwabenwirt is a short walk from the train and bus station which is convenient especially if you have luggage in tow. An ideal location if you are using public transportation. The hotel provides a local guest card which gives free unlimited rides on nearly all regional buses in Berchtesgaden. There are many quaint towns nearby that you can explore via bus. The room was spacious, clean, a bit worn, and had few in-room amenities. There was a refrigerator in our room but no air conditioning. We left the windows open, which overlooked the parking lot, but it got a little noisy with people leaving early in the morning. The breakfast buffet was very good with lots of variety. On Thursday nights they have Bavarian entertainment in their restaurant which was quite delightful. Our dinner was also very good and reasonably priced. The staff were capable and helpful.
