The Federal Hotel

Stayed here a few nights, has shared toilets and showers. One shower of 2 had no hot water, one toilet had a missing toilet roll holder. Besides these two points, my room was large and had everything I needed. I felt like I had stepped back in time with modern amenities. Beer was cold and food was good. Would stay here again!

Loved my time there, staff was very helpful, and always checked if i needed new sheets ir towel, was there for 8 days, no bugs overall amazing

The room in this hotel was surprisingly good value! If you love historic buildings, then this has to be a 'must do' on your bucket list. Hotel supplied a kitchenette, which I personally found very convenient and clean. However, if you want some peace amd tranquility, don't book this one. The noise coming from the pub was also loud, I had to sit in my car for half an hour. However, it didn't detract from my experience of yesteryear wonderment. Alas no ghosts, but a couple of very odd shaped utility rooms amd a balcony that oozed federation energy. Although this was locked and the beer garden was a bit of a touchy subject too, especially with the cleaners. Staff were very kind and let me check in early. That's a good sign for accomodating service. Please, don't miss out on this place if you love history. All the walls were decorated with ambiance from the lighting and photographic posters from it's former glory years.(Late 1800's) A very unique hotel experience! With an aboriginal hostel opposite. Quite juxta. Quite unique.

I never thought my transit in this hotel is going to be unpleasant. The room is above the bar. Bathroom is out side. Inconvenience for me. The room isn’t bright and almost dark. Not good value for money. No wifi. The manager isn’t helping at all. She was a bit standoffs when I asked about the wifi connection. I will Never return to this hotel. And I won’t recommend it to anyone to stay in this hotel
