We arrived at this hotel, they did not have a room for us, and they were extremely unhelpful. They initially said they do not work with Agoda, then managed to check an Agoda portal. They then said the the booking was not on the system, even though it had multiple identifiers and the hotel remains on Agoda. The receptionist (Mari) was clearly concerned from the time we arrived - after the back and forth with the identifiers she eventually told us they were no rooms anyway (why did she not tell us that much sooner?). We arrived late in the day (we chose the hotel as they could accommodate this) - the most likely explanation is the hotel gave the room away. Mari was very unhelpful and did not offer to do anything to fix this for us (Agoda tried to help, but could not find us anything). While she did say we could sit down and try to find a place (which was unsuccessful), she did not try to help us (which she was surely better placed than us to do) and was ultimately ok for us to leave and try and find a place after midnight. If the hotel wants to sub-contract filling rooms to booking platforms, it needs to take ownership in such situations. Surely they are better placed to fix such issues than a remote call centre? Please do avoid it.
