We are a family of four including two teenagers. Hotel struggling weeks after its grand opening. Has potential to be on the higher end but Hyatt (yes, this is a World of Hyatt) rushed to open it. I have been a Hyatt Discoverist or higher for several years and don’t believe this meets the Hyatt standards. I have stayed from Hyatt Place to Park Hyatt levels internationally. Although some facilities (café, spa, reception, some bars, the beach, gardens/landscaping, choice and quality of restaurants and friendly staff) are really nice, the rush to open clearly hurt. The biggest flaw is in the check-in system. Check-in took forever for countless families.. It took us 10 hours between our arrival at 1pm and finally getting our room at 11pm. I had booked and paid for a Deluxe Family Room (describes as 66sqm, a king size bed and two double beds). They first gave us a room half the size with one bed (!). They then made two rooms communicate but there was only one bed in the second one. We had a set of passes working for each room (important detail for what follows). We were assured that they were going to add a second bed in the second room. We came back to the room only to find another family which key pass was working for the same room!!!!! Long story short, after countless discussions and back and forth; we ended up with a late check out and a free 30-minute massage. Still, the hotel made us sign a release! Further notes on the hotel, which was not as advertised : the kids club (for small children), the pool toboggan, the main restaurant overlooking the beach are not finished. Our rooms experienced leakage, from the AC unit but possibly from other causes (lots of water on the floor). Really strong, bad smell (humidity?) in the bathroom. Mud on the wall tiles (signs that rooms are not finished). Pictures available upon demand..

¡Acabo de tener una experiencia agradable en este hotel recién abierto y renovado! Abrieron sus puertas el 10 de diciembre 2023, y mi estadía fue perfecta para recibir el año nuevo. El personal es excepcionalmente amable, destacando a Jorge de la recepción del Sun Club y Jeiffry, el mayordomo del Sun Club, quienes hicieron que mi estancia fuera 1A. Los jardines son hermosos y bien cuidados, creando un entorno encantador. Los restaurantes temáticos ofrecen cenas deliciosas, y el café cerca del lobby es excelente, al igual que el personal que lo atiende. Sin embargo, las bebidas premium tienen limitaciones, solo disponibles en el lobby del Sun Club o en la piscina del Sun Club. Las piscinas podrían beneficiarse de un mejor mantenimiento y limpieza, y considerar la climatización en el futuro sería un gran plus. La playa es hermosa y ofrece muchas comodidades para disfrutar. La comida del buffet necesita mejorar urgentemente en calidad, pero tengo esperanzas de que mejore con la finalización de la remodelación. Experimenté un malentendido con la Gerente del lado del hotel para familias, quien inicialmente indicó que mi reserva era imposible porque el lado de solo para adultos estaba cerrado. Afortunadamente, Jorge de la recepción del Sun Club intervino y aclaró la situación, lo que demostró la importancia de un personal atento y eficiente. Además, quiero destacar que el hotel nos ofreció una cena de fin de año en el buffet, ¡y fue increíblemente buena! La variedad de platos y la calidad de la comida fueron excepcionales, convirtiendo la noche en una experiencia memorable. Además, para recibir el año nuevo, el hotel organizó una fantástica fiesta con champagne, añadiendo un toque festivo y animado a nuestra celebración. Estos eventos especiales contribuyeron significativamente a hacer de nuestra estancia una experiencia inolvidable. ¡Definitivamente, un punto a favor para este hotel recién renovado! En resumen, intenté abordar todos los aspectos en este review, ya que al buscar información, no encontré detalles tan completos. ¡Recomendaría este hotel con la esperanza de mejoras continuas!

I booked 2 bedroom ocean view with sunclub package. Upon arrival, they placed me in 1 Bedroom ocean view and they supposed to unlock the 2nd attached bed room but they gave that room to another guest. After 24 hours of complaining and escalating to manager, they were able to resolve the issue and managed to gave me the 2nd room and also provided me spa service and resort credit. Staff was very helpful through the process and I will return to this place if I go back to PC. Kids had a blast. They need more beach and pool chairs given guest booked them 1st thing in morning with towels so if you go there after 10, you won't find anything. Food is average for vegetarian people, we end up repeating 2 restaurant again and again given the lack of option. Bar is mostly serving water down liquor so we end up buying our own tequila bottle for group of people. Water sports is included and it was fun. Entertainment was hit or miss on some days. Magic show and circus show was good but latin dance and other stuff was totally forgettable.

La atencion del personal fue excelente, sobre todo los chicos del bar Premium, la comida puede mejorar, poca variedad de proteina.

El lugar es acogedor mi queja es con respecto al buffet, comida mala y hasta le hechan cosas para rendirla, como el caso de las habichuelas negras ( que horror) no había mariscos, si no berenjenas 😓 en que resort se sirven berenjenas y el arroz malo.
