I turned up and they couldn't find my booking - New system, so I know how annoying that can be for staff! They offered me a drink and sorted the issue out quickly. I was taken up to my room which was lovely! It had a rolltop bath, a lovely clean toilet and it was a room filled with charm and character. I was asked if I'd like another drink and they brought me up a big bottle of sparkling water. There was also a dvd player in the room with a selection of DVDs on the landing, which was a lovely nostalgic surprise! The breakfast was wonderful, I went down to a contintenal which I unfortunately couldn't eat due to my dietary needs, but it was very impressive. I had the scrambled eggs with salmon and it was really one of the best I've had. I want to give a big shout out to all the staff, especially Anna and Chippy, who went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Definitely recommend this b&b!

Description on Agoda website clearly states air conditioning, the only air con was a very SMALL fan. Room exceptionally hot all night, unable to sleep. Bedside lamps ,which were main lighting in room, did not put out enough light to read. Bath in room was OK but only other washing facility was small sink in a closet, with the toilet opposite in another closet. Stairs were dangerous very narrow and steep. Included in the price Breakfast

There are only three rooms in this 'inn' and I imagine them to all be different. Ours was very quirky. On being shown in we were told it was the 'romantic' room and this was obviously because an old fashioned bath, standing on feet, sat in the middle of the room by the bed. I thought there would still be an on-suite shower, but no, just a toilet and wash basin. OK I did use the bath in the end but at first thought I would have to go two days without a proper wash and was not very happy. But after the initial shock I settled in. If you like old, with sloping creaking floorboards, you'll love this place. The staff are very friendly and we were made most welcome. We didn't eat there because we don't like sea-food and thought the 'meat dishes' were rather expensive compared to other places in the area. And as this is what we normally do - explore other pubs in the area - we were happy to eat elsewhere. We did, of course, have breakfast, and that was very good.

A delightful place to stay. The old building is full of character. The comfiest bed ever. Most rooms en suite, mine had a seperate bathroom. Bathrobes provided. Everything well thought through. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
