I had a small single which was comfortable and had a fantastic shower! The building is old which meant it was noisy from outside and from old fashioned plumbing. A chat with the new owners made it clear that they intend to renovate the hotel in a similar tasteful, upgraded fashion to the bar downstairs but they have only recently taken ownership. The breakfast was great- plenty of choice and very well cooked, served by chips staff.

Perfect location for a family function. Good car parking, excellent staff, great breakfast. Accomodation fine for a couple of days, accommodation areas a little tired in places, but clean, everything worked, quiet, would I stay in The Ship again yes, most definitely.

Location right on sea front, and seaview. Room fine, we had to self check in but all worked fine, breakfast fine., receptionist very friendly. We had a nice stay.

Very good value for money, excellent menu and well priced You must remember it’s an old so the floors are not level but appreciate that this gives it charm The rooms are very clean and well decorated with a good supply of various teas and coffee The staff could not be more helpful and pleasant Many thanks for a great stay

arrived around 2pm & had a beer b4 checking in. nice garden with comfy wooden chairs. small single room but with all needs catered, even a mini fridge! plenty of storage space, modern bathroom, comfy bed and quiet despite being on main road on a Saturday night! ate in and chose fillet steak - scrummy- up at 8am for brekky which was generous- thoroughly recommended
