I've stayed here several times over the past 4 years, as I have family near by. I've stayed alone or with other family members or my husband When booking I always ask for a room overlooking the church and the staff are always so accommodating with this request. On my first stay here, I didn't think to request this as i didn't know the layout of the hotel and thought all rooms overlooked the church. So on arrival I was shown to my room at the back of the hotel, when I asked to be moved. It seemed like no problem at all. The members of staff sorted it straight away and I was shown to what has become my favourite room. The staff are so friendly at the Windmill, professional but also very down to earth. Plus over the 4 years I have seen a lot of the same faces working here, which says a lot for a business. I can't wait to return in July, when I will be staying for 4 nights. Although the area around The Windmill is quiet, the views are stunning and it's so peaceful. Don't miss out on the tasty breakfast and fantastic carvery when you stay here. Roll on July

Room and bathroom clean. Staff pleasant and helpful. But mattress worn out one side collapsed. Remote control missing, but quickly replaced. Whole of the outside needs tidying and weeding. It all looked grubby inside and out, all in need of some TLC. Breakfast, very little choice. No cereals, just fried or a few other options. Evening meal ok. Apparently they do a very good Sunday carvery.

The room was good, we had a balcony. Super king bed. Bathroom needs some attention. Staff were great very friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast which we were very happy with. Definitely recommend The Windmill

We’ve now stayed here 4 times, there is so many places near to visit. Check in quick and easy. Staff very friendly. Food good. Shall be back
