Budget hotel. Excellent value of £40 per room,per night twin room , ensuite bathroom with bath and shower. Comfortable beds, clean room, although dated, but lovely and warm, with kettle and basic refreshments, tv and bar type fridge.We slept well and were well fed every morning with fruit , juice cereal, yogurt, full English, tea/coffee, toast for the amazing price of £5 per person. Marie was very welcoming and helpful and the parking sufficient for all customers. Adequate for the price, as we didn't spend much time in our room , happy to return again. Thank you Balmoral Hotel.

An old Victorian villa converted into a B&B on a quiet road, 5 minute walk to Lord street. We’ve stayed here 6 times, different bedroom each time (only once did we get an uncomfortable bed). The rooms are quirky, clean and a bit dated but the price, location and general feel of the place is all good. The hot water pressure is low and takes ages to get warm but if you persevere it will work. Free parking in hotel forecourt and check in time is early at no extra cost (unlike travelodge) The £5 full English breakfast is very good and they catered for a vegetarian too. We like it here. It has character and the staff are lovely.

Very friendly staff and great breakfast, could do with a face lift but still comfortable, direct walk from the train station took about 15 minutes, would stay there again.

Large rooms a little dated but clean. The staff are welcoming and polite. An added bonus is the parking which is rare in Southport We are returning next week so must be ok lol

I had a great stay here, the place had everything I needed for my stay including free car parking
