A good spot , near to the high street. Staff all friendly and helpful. Our front facing room on the first floor was comfortable but in need of an update. There is a lift. The shower was over the bath,not easy to use if you have mobility issues. We found it noisy at night and will choose a higher back facing room next time. The weekend buffet breakfast was great, the alacarte breakfast in the week excellent. We will definitely stay there again....

Comfortable, lovely staff

Last minute night away
This was booked as a last minute night away as we only live in the next town. The location of the Hotel is perfect. Close to train station, shops and restaurants. Room was clean and comfortable ( although very warm ). Room had everything we needed. Coffee machine, kettle, teas, coffees. Shower over bath, free toiletries. We found it hard to regulate temperature of shower. Didn't eat dinner in restaurant as had planned to eat elsewhere. Breakfast was a good selection of fruit, yoghurt, cereals, pastries then a choice of cooked items. All staff very friendly. Small lift to floors. Old building so expect creaky floor boards in places. Overall very pleasant stay, just a shame about the temperature of shower fluctuating

Great stay
Very nice hotel, slightly outdated room, beds a bit to firm for me But warm and every facility you need.nice and clea. Restaurant & bar are lovely. Very good value for money compared to the other local hotels, so I would recommend and stay there again.
