Situated in the village of Carribridge close to Inverness the hotel is a perfect stopover for touring the Highlands. The room was clean and comfortable and the bar and dining area had a nice country pub feel . Food was good rather than spectacular and somewhat overpriced but if good quality. Ample parking for cars and a covered area for motorbikes with a village petrol station just a 100 yds away. Would definitely stay there again.

What really set this place apart was the excellent customer service. The owner Gareth goes above and beyond. The breakfast is very good and sufficient to satisfy the hungriest appetite. If you like a quiet sleepy hollow with minimal nightlife, a bar and a pool table and live music on some nights of the week, then this is the town for you. If you like a wider variety of cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops, you can to drive about 15 minutes to Aviemore, or pay a higher accommodation price to stay in Aviemore.

Stayed for a night. Staff were absolutely lovely, had dinner (fish and chips) which was delicious, nice selection of pints, breakfast was really good as well, customer service was on point, made me feel very welcome. The room was nice and hotel overall had a comfy feel with lots of interesting designs on the wall. Only advice for others is be careful if coming by public transportation as the schedule can be irregular sundays and mondays by bus, railway station is not too far though and passes the famous carrbridge which looks beautiful in winter. Would stay again and eat more food here. Thank you for having me and the wonderful hospitality!

Busy inn, great food, the burger was fantastic 5*. Our room was a twin with bathroom across the hall, it didn't matter as we had lovely bathrobes in the wardrobe. Breakfast staff & food were exception. Black pudding wow! Our pouch was welcomed and if your looking for quality food, drink, atmosphere & clean room with nice little extras I highly recommend. Our first trip to the Highlands and won't be our last!

Although the walls and furniture have their fair share of wear and tear, the hotel is clean, the staff are cordial and informational, the beverage and toilet roll supplies are ample (they even provide hot chocolate in addition to the usual tea and coffee). A lot of other hotels give guests places to rest, but the wonderful breakfast that is included in the price of this hotel shoes a degree of hospitality that has become rarer and rarer nowadays. All those factors, combined with its strategic location that is close to bus stops, old bridge, woodland and riverside walks, church, village hall and adventure park , make this hotel a hidden gem.
