Treated my wife to a night away and living in Sheffield decided Hathersage would be nice. I've been going to the Scotsmans Pack since the late 80s but never stayed there. Our room was great, bed really comfy and the staff were great both on the evening when the bar was really busy and in the morning during breakfast. We visited other pubs and a curry house on the Friday before returning to the Scotsmans Pack for a few more drinks. There was a great acoustic band on. This was ideal in that the music wasn't too loud to make conversation inaudible! Great song choices too!! After breakfast we walked up to the pretty church before returning home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great to find a single room as a solo traveller. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Very quick service in the pub in the evening despite being busy. Room was hot overnight (heating was on) but otherwise excellent. Very convenient location in Hathersage. Would stay there again.

Nice place to stay ...had a small double room... unfortunately the shower didn't produce, and initially an alternative solution for us to shower after our walk didn't seem available but , then we were given the key to a single room so we could use the shower. The team there were very helpful and did what they could to resolve this issue 👍,we were offered some kind of recompense initially,but nothing was given on checkout,a little disappointing. Breakfast was lovely. Great location.

Limited breakfast timings but lovely fresh cooked food. The TV in the room wasn't available for terrestrial Channels and world have to log in on the TV with our own passcodes to what channels. That wasn't expected and didn't feel secure for us.

I would stay here again, food was nice and staff friendly and the room was very clean. I had an issue parking on two occasions, one when it was home time at the school next door and I had to wait up the road for about 15 minutes before it cleared and I could check in. The second occasion was when I returned in the evening and it was full and had to park up the road overnight.
