The hotel is situated right in the heart of the town and so easy to find and park. The lady who served us breakfast was lovely and helpful. The food was good too. Unfortunately the room was cold and the shutters to the toilet didn’t shut. Bed was comfy and big so not all bad. The hotel is open till late but we heard no noise so that’s all good. Would I recommend?? Yes I would as long as it’s not too cold

The hotel is in a bit of a run down street and appears that way too but after climbing the steep staircase to our room we were pleasantly surprised to find a large room with an enormous bed and TV screen. The bathroom was great and there was even some chocolates along with the tea and coffee. There was also 2 pairs of earplugs for the Saturday nights they have a band, but there wasn't one the night we stayed and we had a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed. Next mornings breakfast was anything we desired but I chose haggis, with beans and scrambled eggs. It was delicious.

Susan who runs ot is lovely, friendly and helpful. The rooms had seen better days, a bit shabby in places but were clean with comfortable beds. Despite being over the pub my room was lovely and quiet. The street it is on is a bit off putting and scruffy but don't let this put you off. Susan's breakfasts are great, very generous and well cooked.

Clean budget hotel. I needed an ironing board and it was placed in my room ahead of arrival. The Hotel manager was kind enough to give me an umbrella when I needed it unexpectedly. The breakfast was freshly prepared and made to order. Location is perfect.

Hotel could do with a refurbishment as it's a bit dated. Room was clean with a comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was one of the best I have had in a hotel.
