Stayed for one night in January 2026 to have a closer look at Ely. Recommend Room 3 as it has a very decently sized ensuite and a comfortable bed. Excellent central position for visiting the cathedral, the museum and Cromwell's house. Only slight issue is that the room is at the front of the hotel and there was a fair amount of traffic noise. The pub is old, and shows its age here and there. There are some areas that could really do with a clean-up, but nothing wrong with the overall hygiene. Food was remarkably good. We had an evening meal there and the breakfast is excellent (and served until midday!) If you want to explore Ely, it's in a great position. I can recommend it.

The property is in an excellent location, within walking distance to many eating options and the city centre, complemented by clean facilities and friendly staff. Parking is limited and was not available on every night of our stay, although there is a parking facility less than 10 min walk from the property.

We used the Standard as a home from home when the family came to stay over a weekend. Very comfortable bed in a chic bedroom, lovely quqlity divet. Fluffy white towels in a shower room that had a great shower in it, The breakfast included in the deal qite delicious and Gluten free provisions were very good. We should be happy to repeat the stay .

Stayed for 1 night. Not cheap, but a beautiful historic pub. Lovely bedroom (bring ear plugs as old windows don't keep out traffic noise👂) gorgeous en suite and fantastic food! Sadly I couldn't eat my fabulous breakfast as I was hungover, danced to a tribute band locally night before and over indulged in Chardonnay wine 😜🍷but my husband said food tasted amazing. Highly recommended!
