Selborne Hotel

Really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very helpful and couldn't help enough.. check in staff went above to get us another room as my husband has walking issues.. lovely breakfast sitting over looking the seaview

Nice hotel. Good car park across road. Only stayed 1 night in family room. Older establishment, but narrow corridors but excellent good sized family room. Bit older fashioned styling. Could do with modernisation. .but its very clean & looked after. Beds were very comfortable & immaculate. Tea & coffee in room , no biscuits. Bathroom was very clean & shower a good roomy size. No extra toiletries apart from cakes of soap. Breakfast was tasty although you had to ask for tea or coffee & u only got one mug, no-one offered refills. Beautiful sea views from restaurant. Garden is massive, altho could do more with it. Its the big you could have a few horses! They did have entertainment on ,which i never went to, but they sound good. I love staying in dunoon as i have family here and lots of childhood memories , although not much to do it dunoon itself. . I would of loved to stay longer, but sadly couldny afford it . . I must admit for price of hotel anywhere else would have swimming pools or other luxuries. .. .if you had this hotel in a city or my town you would not be paying these prices for the hotel it was. . . . Ive stayed in hotels & b&b's in dunoon over the years , and this one is nicest. (Believe me!) It fits in with the town. As whole town is needing modernised and brought into 2022 . But it is what it is. . A quiet seaside town. . With one main street . And this hotel is only 5minutes walk to pedestrian ferry so nice & central. . . .

After minor hiccup the excellent staff made sure our 2 night stay was very enjoyable.

All good, staff helpful and friendly. Room was needing updated and a 30 minute window for breakfast is poor.
