My partner and I stayed two nights for his birthday. The food is incredible..tasty.. beautifully presented and at your average price you would expect to pay in a pub/restaurant. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Now to the points of our stay we thought could be improved. Our room was a twin in the attic, it was clean and comfortable. It was small but we expected that as after all it is a coaching inn. The paintwork could have been refreshed..walls/furniture etc (shabby chique I think you call it lol) and there was a wobbly hot tap to the bath. Finally, it is not enough to put us off recommending the place though..it's in a beautiful village in the hills.

The Greyhound Inn is just what we hoped it would be. The rooms are clean and cosy, with the added extra of their doggy naming history. The deep bath was especially welcome. The Inn itself was beautiful, the staff attentive and friendly and the food was delicious. I was pleased to find they had gluten free bread! The village is delightfully quiet, like a little secret hidden in the valley. Altogether a fantastic experience, and we can't wait to visit again.

Called in after a long day on the Wessex Ridgeway covered in mud but was made welcome and served with a great pint of Butcombe. Excellent fish and chips later and a great breakfast in the morning. Comfortable room with a good shower.

Staff were very friendly and polite, our room was clean and well presented. The food was very good.
