Have stayed here often over the years. It is popular for people taking a cruise from the port of Southampton which is a relatively short taxi ride away if you leave your car in the car park for the cruise donation. Have stayed here when cruising or if on the way to the West Country. Bedrooms clean and of reasonable size. Meals are a about four minutes walk from the main building in what used to be a Victorian Parish School which now houses a jazz club and the hotel restaurant. Restaurant prices are st the higher end of normal. This stay the breakfast was below the standard expected of a three star hotel and staff were terse. Dinner no more than OK. I have had better stays here but would stay again. Hotel is a short drive from the M3

Needed one nights accommodation and this was perfect location for what we needed and great price. Hotel staff were superb as booking they rec’d from Agoda was wrong, and didn’t include breakfast. It got sorted but wasn’t overly easy. 1st time we’ve used Agoda, probably the last as well. Hotel, excellent, no complaints, comfy, quiet, all we wanted.

Booked Ellington Lodge purely because I was attending at gig at nearby Concorde from out of town. I arrived by train and both properties are a short flat walk from the station. My room was comfortable and clean. Included breakfast was very good and the Moldy Fig pub offered good beers and a well priced dinner menu.

After a brief 12-minute walk from Southampton Parkway train station through a lovely green canal path, I arrived at reception. The room was clean and had everything I needed. The Concorde Club next door offered good food and a great breakfast the next morning. Despite live music and a 40th birthday party in a marquee, I heard nothing in my room, showing they respect residents during events. The staff were friendly, though the kitchen closed at 9 PM. I wished room service was available until 9:30 or 10 PM. I will definitely stay again.

Because of car show on the premises I could not park my car next to the hotel. There was a Private party in the bar area so was not able to have a drink later. I had to move my car twice in order to be able to access it in the morning. The sink plug became stuck so could not use the basin in the morning. The general appearance of the room was tired. We ate an evening meal in a small room set aside for guests because of the private party. Even so the meal was good if a bit pricey. for what we had.
