I live in central Scotland and this is my third time at this hotel. The hotel is on an estate within nice grounds. It blends a traditional Scottish castle look with modern aspects in decoration. Not far from Aberdeen City Centre, but it was a car journey there and back to the hotel. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was bouffe but had a good choice. I used the Spa facility. The changing rooms were rather small, the pool was very busy with swimming lessons at the time I went, and some flakey paintwork all-round which could do with a re-decoration. Having said that the sauna and steam room were large enough to accommodate even busy periods around the pool. Overall good value for money (beware that it's 11.00am checkout, we assumed it was 12.00 noon like other hotels in the area, and it incurred a £10.00 extra charge!!) To end on a positive note, there were residents from Europe, and the USA, which was nice as well. I will probably stay again in future, but will definitely leave before 11.00am in the morning.

Had a fantastic time @ Ardoe. Made use of the facilities, restaurant & bar. Amazing food & drinks & Ola in the bar makes the best cocktails & super friendly. My only gripes - £18 for 3 scallops, warm wine @ dinner, being made to sit in the Soapies Brassier which is run down whilst people ate in the bar, we really expected to have drinks after dinner in the bar not sitting on ripped seats looking @ condiments & mop buckets. Needs some TLC & some more cleaning in places. We did enjoy our stay & has everything you need.

We stayed for one night for our wedding anniversary. Had a lovely massage at the spa , dinner in the restaurant was amazing, nice comfortable room & bed. Disappointing breakfast in the morning not much space to move around and the food not being filled back up when we were choosing breakfast. Had to take plate back to seat which was a good bit away from where breakfast was then had to go back to get drinks then back again for toast by that time breakfast was cold. Would be a nice touch for staff to pour drinks for you , felt like i spend all breakfast walking back & forth rather than sittIng enjoy it. The coffee machine was broken so staff made up a flask of coffee which was horrible , would of been better giving flask of hot water and letting people put in their own coffee instead of making it up in flask. Would not have breakfast there again !

I was staying in a privileged room which was very nice upon arrival. There was no coffee machine or snacks however I phoned up within about an hour. This was sorted and all the stuff it should’ve been in was now there. I was going here for one night getaway to relax. The only thing I’ve be disappointed there was children swimming lessons in the pool.

Normally we stay in the centre of Aberdeen but for a change and very glad we did chose Ardoe House Hotel,large swimming pool for the kids plus the weather was fantastic plenty of tables and chairs outside on the lawn we will definitely be back.
