Location was great for us Staff friendly and relaxed Room was fine for our 1 night stay. No thrills but clean and tidy Bathroom needs some TLC, shower panel missing and a little shabby around the edges. Carpet in rooms could do with updating, they feel thin and worn. For the price it served its purpose. We would stay here again if we needed an easy base near our friends. Would recommend on the basis it's an easy no thrills stay

A lovely place. Would have been perfect but we booked bed and breakfast but there was no breakfast. We were told the reason was the manager was having a baby. We understand that things happen which makes normal service difficult but surely you could have offered something eg complimentary or discounted evening meal or partial refund?

This is not the Ritz. Don't expect any high level accommodation and then you won't be disappointed. Everything is basic. Toilet was small. If you're over six foot, expect to feel cramped. Pub downstairs, with bands. So if you go to bed early, then be aware. Staff and cleanliness excellent. If price was less than £***, I would stay again .

location great. Room good. Great value for money

I stayed here on Saturday night after driving down from Scotland to break my journey up. The Town Arms offered a really comfortable night’s sleep at a very reasonable price. From my arrival I was made to feel very welcome by the bar staff who even helped lug my heavy bags and case upstairs. Breakfast the following morning was superb and possibly one of the best I’ve ever had! The chef was really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Town Arms to anyone and I will definitely be back again!
