If it is your first time to Maldives, this island will be of course amazed you. By contrast, this is our third time to Maldives, so we have this chance to have a comparison between this one and others. 1. We won’t choose an island that needs a seaplane to take us there since the schedule of the seaplane will be severely delayed due to the bad weather. They have a lovely lounge for us to wait for the flight, but it was a total waste of our time on the first day. Besides, you would like to have a rest after a long international flight rather than waiting for another flight for several hours again. 2. It’s been an entire day after we finally got on the island. I was very dizzy but the checkin process took a little bit slow. I understand they needed to welcome us, have the welcome drink ready, but they should know we had had a long journey. Besides, they only use what’s app for us to call the butler. Shouldn’t they prepare more types of contacts since many countries I know use Line more often. 3. One of my unsatisfactory experiences here is that they always tried to push us for more expenses like the lobster, the fish, the wine. Even we don’t drink, they changed to push us to buy another sparkling non-alcohol drink. I hadn’t been pushed to buy more things on the other two islands I had been. 4. Our butler did not send us for the departure. I’m wondering the real reason:) even he said there would be someone who would send us, there was no one there. The butlers of other guests did not talk to us at all, which is a little bit rude. It made us feel like “we are not their concern since they are not our butler.” 5. The food is ok, but can be better if they have more choices. 6. Last but not least, they did not give us the room type that we had booked, which I had been worried before the trip. Although they gave us the room that would cost more actually, but I would like the room type I had chose. But since they somehow upgraded us, I didn’t say anything. However, please understand that we know what we book. We are not idiots. If you had any reason that couldn’t give us the room we chose, you should provide some reason. I was in fact uncomfortable about this since I emphasized in the email that I needed the room type I chose. Although I chose to recommend this island, I recommend to choose some other islands since there is always better option.

The resort is beautiful and underwater restaurant offers a unique experience. For swimming and snorkeling this resort is not the best location. There are no corals (mostly bleached and fully damaged), few fishes, and extremely strong current everywhere around water villas pulling into the ocean, making it quite dangerous to explore. I am a confident open-water swimmer, and even with long fins it was always a challenge to resist the current. Not realistic without fins. There is a small and shallow area near the beach, not big enough for swimming but great to cool down. On a plus side, there are plenty of spots for beautiful photos. Staff were very nice and friendly, helpful.

I had a wonderful stay at You & Me Resort. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the scenery was beautiful. I would especially like to thank Rafu, who provided excellent and very heartfelt service. He helped us arrange many activities and made our trip truly stress-free and memorable. Highly recommended!
