Don’t let the location photos fool you.
The hotel is located close to the Eden Center which is convenient but it is in a skanky part of town that is hard to get to if you have a vehicle. No parking there unless you park in the Eden Center and pay. The entrance at the front is accessed under a bridge and involves about a 80 meter walk alongside abandoned boarded up buildings with no lighting at night. I always felt like I was potentially going to be mugged walking back in the evening. The rear entrance is through a courtyard that is full of overflowing trash cans and other junk and vehicles. Despite asking for a quiet room the nights were noising with load music from the nightclub across the way and the constant beeping of the refuse trucks collecting trash early most mornings. The room itself was acceptable with clean sheets, a decent bed and decent shower. The dining room was fair with an okay breakfast for the price. If they could just do something to make the entrance into the building from either side more palatable it would be a big improvement.

Very pleasant stay
I spent a night here visiting my son at uni. Great location, Eden Shopping Centre is at the doorstep. Clean and cosy room, nice breakfast. Will come again.

Exceptional
The hotel's biggest strength is its fantastic location. It's surrounded by shops and restaurants, and is incredibly convenient for transport: just a 1-minute walk to the bus station and a 10-minute walk to the train station. Note that housekeeping is not daily, but the staff are happy to provide fresh towels upon request. The reception team were particularly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
